About Metamorphosis by Isa

As both an engineer and designer, I bring technical precision to upcycled fashion. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, meticulously constructed, and designed to turn heads.

The Process

Every garment begins with carefully sourced thrifted and pre-loved materials. I search for unique fabrics with history—forgotten ties, vintage denim, and textiles that deserve a second life.

With an engineer's eye for precision and a designer's vision for beauty, I deconstruct these materials completely, then reimagine and reconstruct them into something entirely new. Each seam is intentional, each cut calculated, each piece engineered to last.

Why Upcycled?

The fashion industry is one of the world's largest polluters. By transforming existing materials into new designs, I'm keeping textiles out of landfills and reducing the demand for new production.

But sustainability isn't just about the planet—it's about creating pieces that last. Each garment is built with the same care and precision as engineered structures: reinforced seams, quality construction, and thoughtful design that transcends trends.

One-of-a-Kind

Because I work with upcycled materials, no two pieces can ever be identical. The tie patterns, denim washes, and fabric textures are unique to each garment. When you wear a Metamorphosis piece, you're wearing something that has never existed before—and never will again.

Made in NYC

Every piece is handmade in New York City. From sourcing materials to final stitching, the entire process happens in my studio. This isn't mass production—it's craft, engineering, and art combined.
